Needed classes and there builds Empty Needed classes and there builds

While everyone is free to make there own builds and should we begin raiding, spots will be picked on the merits or the performance of the individual so if they use a build different then what is suggested here and do it well, that person may get a spot in the raid over a person who does take one of theses recommended builds but uses them poorly.

Tanks - Abolisher (Battlerage, Defense, Auramancy), Blighter(Battlerage, Defense, Shadowplay), Skullnight (Defense, Auramancy, Occultism)

I would optimally like 5-6 tanks or people who can tank or be dps. This way we can have multiple raids or dungeon runs going. Also tank classes in this game from my experience seem to be heavy CC'ers with many stuns and similar eefects so for future pvp it will be very handy.

Healers - I'm not going to post to much here because there is a supposed change coming to healing soon. But lets say if you have vitalism wield a big stick and like to dress in women's dress' you might be a healer.

Idealy I want about 8-10 healers or people who can off heal. same reason as tanks.

BUFF TOTEMS - Tomb Warden (Defense, Auramancy, Songcraft),  Cleric (Auramancy,Songcraft,Vitalism)

A buff totem's sole purpose in life is to play his songcraft songs buffing their party/raid and debuffing the enemy. I will get someone to post builds or I will post the recommended builds that we have found to work the best.

If anyone feels like trying to theorycraft builds please use http://arche-base.com/builds/generator post the builds with a brief explanation about the build and what type of gear you would expect that build to use.

I may do a Tank, probably a Blighter at launch, because from Blighter I can simply level Archer and have my Primeval.

Blighter (Battlerage[9] - Defensive[9] - Shadowplay[5]): 1h - Shield Build (Offensive Tank Build)

Blighter is the current build I use right now, which is pretty good all around in terms of PvE / PvP.  It's great for holding threat on trash packs with the extra dps, but you don't have the same tankiness or cc breaks of an Abolisher or as much threat potential from the Auramancy / Defensive synergy.  The extra DPS of a Blighter would offset some of the Abolisher's extra threat from abilities, but Blighter's threat generation is very dependent on Deflect and Retaliate (Parry) from Battlerage so it's not as strong as Abolisher when it comes to Single targets since Parry would occur less frequently.  If we're looking at this in terms of a raid role, Blighter probably would be most optimal in an OT (Off-Tank) position.

Muha, my opinion would be to try this build.  It should be a boost in DPS, threat potential and toughness especially if your main goal is for tanking PvE.

Ok, so I’m thinking along the PVP lines as a MDPS tank. I don’t know how well it could be applied as a PvE tank as it isn’t designed to gain agro, but I am curios to the possibility and thus I posted it. It would mostly have to rely on initial agro… If not it should be a pain in the ass Front-line against other players or great on ocean bound trade runs as an escort (it doubles as a DPS for PvE/PxX). I run it with full plate, shield and scepter.

My issue is I have yet to have a fight on an equal level as I’m only mid 30’s. So it’s a concept only. I tried to focus on a steady mix of offense and defense that should counter most everything but a full caster in cloth. I tried to gain instant casts with a CC potential over some of the higher damage, longer cast spells and stuck to a small list of single target skills.

I’m most unsure about the “Chain Lightning” (small burst/cleave) and the “Revitalizing Cheer” (my only heal); so those are the two I can afford to invest elsewhere. Would gaining “Bull rush”, “Roar” and/or “Howl” increase its PvE tank potential, or is it not enough to matter?

I am open to any constructive criticism or advice.

On a side note… “Insulating Lens” on plate is amazing!

Revitalizing Cheer," maxes at 900 + the amount it shows in the tooltip.  So at 50 it's around a 1200 hp heal at full mettle (3,000) and I'm just under 10,000 hp so for me right now it's basically a 12% heal with a 45s CD.  I would recommend investing the skill point elsewhere.

For PvE Tank potential, the taunts would probably help at the very least for bosses since quite a few of them are really flaky when it comes to threat.  It'd be more practical for you to use howl just because it's AoE, but if you end up finding out you don't really need increased threat during trash packs you could switch it to Roar since it's a single target taunt with greater duration, range, damage and debuff for the mob.

After playing the buff/healer i think on the full game I want to be an off healer so i can still do some dmg, I will post a build as I work this out
